Major Duties

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing developers.
  • Develop and qualify a developer prospect list.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the various state agencies, including review and comment on QAP’s.
  • Attend, participate, and represent Sterling at/in meetings, conferences, trade shows, coalitions, political action committees, groundbreakings, grand openings, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with soft money lenders/providers.
  • Act as the primary contact with the developer for any transaction that is originated, with underwriting support from the home office.
  • Prepare and annual business plan and budget with quarterly milestones for measuring performance against the aforementioned activities.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in finance, real estate, business
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • An established network of real estate developer contacts.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing preferred.
  • A high degree of motivation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Desire to travel regionally.
  • Professional sales training.
